... Think she's trying to hint something about one of the other couples? There's the Walkens, Dr. Lecter and Will...

That's what I'm wondering myself, yeah. Especially since Chane was one of our victims this week. Not sure what she'd be trying to say about Dr. Lecter and Will though, but that's absolutely something I think we should keep in mind. Annabeth was the one who originally thought of keeping us on the downlow but knew I wouldn't be able to lie about it so she gave up. The whole thing is really, really out of place.

But that's Annabeth. She told me in her last letter that she's doing everything to keep it vague enough that things won't get censored.

...Will has serious issues. Just throwing that out there.

I know he does, but I don't know if Will's who we should be worried about. We know he's an asshole. It's the ones who're hiding it that I'm worried about.

Just because we know he's an asshole, which I'm not sure is a term that covers it... It doesn't mean we shouldn't be worried about him.

I never said we shouldn't be worried about him, but Dr. Lecter will keep him in check for a while.

...Annabeth mentioned a couple. You don't think...? [PLEASE NO? But also me oocly "why are you all so goddamn stupid."]

I don't mean them as a couple. Hannibal's not... I mean, I really don't think he's someone we should be concerned about.

But maybe she was using the couple example to get you to look at one person who's a part of a couple here.

Natalie. I don't want to think badly about Dr. Lecter either but there's something there. There has to be.

So...what, you think she meant for us to look at Felix, Chane, Will or Dr. Lecter? Unless there are other couples here I don't know about.

I don't think there are, unless someone is keeping it under wraps.

I guess there's no point in considering Chane anymore, so... I don't know.

Well, she might've meant Chane, and Chane just got unlucky this week, and if so case closed. We'll learn tomorrow if she had a role, probably.

Yeah, that's fair. Maybe we should focus on the others for now, though, until we know.

... The only one I've really talked to is Felix, but I don't think I've personally seen a side of him that he hasn't already made clear to others.

"If you want something done, then do it yourself." [It's said slowly.] That's...what Felix told me this week when I spoke to him. Kind of out of nowhere.

I know who the Madame is. Assuming they don't kick the bucket during the execution, I could ask them to check out our remaining lovebirds next.
But I don't guarantee they'll listen.

That might be a good idea.

But they can only check one person a week, right? Or do you think it's more now that the Bartender's down?

Only one a week. If it's changed, I haven't heard about it.
This means we need to prioritize. IF they listen to my suggestion, who do we need to check out as soon as possible?

There's one other line about Annabeth's letter that bothers me.

"Be careful who you adopt, Jackson. Please."

Annabeth doesn't really say please unless she's really, really serious about something, first of all.

[impulsiveness]

[That gets him to cock an eyebrow.]

If I knew that, I wouldn't be stuck wondering what she's talking about. [There's a rough sigh.] Annabeth used to tease me because I get...attached to people, I guess. Especially younger kids.

[Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck.] So. She could mean Damian, she could mean Papika, she could mean Xion, she could mean you? I don't know.

[impulsiveness]

Not Damian. Not me.

I don't think Papika makes sense since Papika's known about Damian since week one. Also they both stayed with me last night.

We can't discount it. Anything is possible.

[He looks pretty stricken by the idea...but then again, Luke was one of the most trusted people at Camp Half-Blood before he betrayed everyone. Why wouldn't this be the same?]
