[And so after the Bounty meeting, Percy lingers back and waits for Noctis, watching the other two go before he walks up to him and taps his shoulder.]

...I'm going for a walk. Wanna come with?

[He figures they could both use the time to clear their heads.]

Yeah, no kidding. Sure a hell of a lot of places I'd rather see more.

[and honestly, a bunch of cool places that he thinks percy would like to see, if he could.]

Then there. A goal for us when we get out of here. It'll give us something to really look forward too again.

It'd be nice. Actually having things to look forward to.

[hydrokinetics]

It'll keep us tied to reality, I think. Is that weird to think about? [He turns to start heading for the hotel once more.] Having something good to look forward to means not drowning in the bad.

[elemancy]

Yeah... can't argue that. Still... makes it hard to really have anything to look forward to when stuff is like this.

[what an annoying double-edged sword, right?]

I can't really disagree on that. [He pauses.] Who knows? Maybe we should take a leaf out of Milla's book and keep believing we can power through pretty much everything.

[elemancy]

[well.]

If only. Don't think I could ever power through things the way she does.

[he frowns, thinking about the blow she took from jason earlier. he needs to check up on her too, he thinks.]

[hydrokinetics]

We can try. [Their walk seems to be coming to a close at least. He just needed to burn energy and talk, it seems.] I worry about her doing too much, but maybe it's not my business to worry like that.

[that's fine with him. noct nods, and he'll admit.]

I... was going to check on her anyway. [for reason.] She does too much, but I don't think I can't stop her either.

She might be more willing to listen to you since it wouldn't be one of us telling her. [One of the younger teens, he means.] Milla's reasonable but I can see why she'd insist to all of us that she's fine no matter what.

She let me help her at the trial, which... is more than she's ever let me do before. So maybe.

[he's been worried about this, for sure.]

[hydrokinetics]

Worth a shot to check in with her before we all turn in for the night...Jason's not going to want to be found tonight, and since it's the day after a trial I feel a little better about him being out on his own. He's a smart guy. He can take care of himself. Milla, on the other hand, should take it easy for like a day.

[elemancy]

Jason will be fine. Well... fine as he can be.

[is he ever really fine? is anything fine anymore? it's really not.]

I'll make sure she doesn't do anything crazy. I think this time she may stay put, though.

[hydrokinetics]

[He's worried that might not be enough, but he doesn't voice it.]

I hope so. [To all of that, he means.] ...thanks, Noctis. Let's head in before it gets much later.

Yeah. May as well.... if I'm gonna check on Milla, don't want to wait til it's too late anyway.

I'll probably stay up for a bit to see if Jason comes in but there's no use waiting outside. [And with that he gestures for Noctis to follow him back into the hotel. It's stifling here even with as much empty space as they've accumulated now. But it'll have to do for now.]

[and follow him back inside, he will. noct's tired, though. even though he's not going to sleep yet because of that one stop he'd planning to make first...

he's exhausted.]

Don't stay up too late waiting for him. He'll be fine.

I know. Tomorrow's a big day, remember? [It's hardly said with any kind of emotion, but it's on his mind. Tomorrow, he may very well be selected to kill Will Graham on top of everything else. What a mess.] I'll go to bed in a few hours probably. I'll see you in the morning, dude.

Yeah. Rest up... night, man.

[that... also gives him a pretty terrible feeling, honestly. but there's not much he can do about it—percy needs to deal with that burden...

and noct has other things he needs to deal with as well.]
