[Another day, another meeting. This one's more tense than usual especially with the lack of a small bat-child. Percy's right hand is sloppily bandaged up and his jaw is tight as his eyes burn with anger.]

Dr. Lecter knows we know. He's known since Saturday. Hal confirmed with me he's the Deputy, just like Hal confirmed to Dr. Lecter that we were onto him.

[A shaky sigh.] What the fuck do we do now?

All I did was call him a moron and tell him to talk to Annabeth or one of the others. It was nothing that warranted a response.

Then why is he trusting you to trust me and Xion and Jason?

Shinnosuke. [He does not have time for your shit right now?] What did you and Seizaburo talk about when he was alive? How close were you guys?

Nothing important, honestly.

[And why would you ever ask him how close he was with someone?? This is Shinnosuke, he's never going to give a proper answer.]

It's not like we were secretly going out and our attitudes towards each other during trials was a farce. He and I weren't friends, and if it weren't for the fact that he kept defending me in the same breath that he called me shady, I'd have thought he hated me.

Given the fact that Seizaburo was a Bandit during the fourth week here, I imagine that was out of some weird need to protect you. I don't know, people do weird things.

I guess I'm just trying to figure out what exactly he thought he'd accomplish by writing to you and me in the same page.

[insincerely]

[He shrugs.]

I did tell him to talk to Annabeth, so she might've told him some stuff, or he figured that we were in contact.

If she did, she didn't mention it to me. But that wouldn't be unusual either. [He frowns.] We'll just have to work faster to put the puzzle together.
