[Another day, another meeting. This one's more tense than usual especially with the lack of a small bat-child. Percy's right hand is sloppily bandaged up and his jaw is tight as his eyes burn with anger.]

Dr. Lecter knows we know. He's known since Saturday. Hal confirmed with me he's the Deputy, just like Hal confirmed to Dr. Lecter that we were onto him.

[A shaky sigh.] What the fuck do we do now?

Tag-teaming isn't an option. They're...this is bad. Really, really bad. Even if two people acted, Dr. Lecter would be able to outdo them, I think.

[robitussin]

How do you know that?

[She's not disbelieving, necessarily, just curious.]

It's just a feeling I have. Some things...Dr. Lecter's not going to go down without a fight. I know that much. And when people are desperate in a fight, they're a lot stronger than they look.

Plus he's already waiting for us.

We also can't keep waiting around.

[The longer they wait, the more people will die. So.]

What if we played along with the rules of this game? There has to be something to give us an edge.

What, killing the Deputy? Or are you thinking something else entirely?

If one of us gets picked as a Bandit and they decide to target them, that means they're screwed. That's how this destiny bullshit works, right?

...That's true, I think. I'm gonna go ahead and suggest we should definitely pick him if any of us gets chosen next week.

[hydrokinetics]

Question. Are we sure that being a Bandit guarantees you'll actually kill your target?

[robitussin]

We could probably ask Hal about it.

[hydrokinetics]

We're out of time tonight unless we run and risk curfew. But...maybe at the trial?

[robitussin]

Yeah, that's true. At the trial, then.

[Prayer circle for Damian in the meantime.]

[impulsiveness]

We should. Might as well clearly that.

[... He pauses. Then looks at Natalie, tapping out for her:

Did you talk to the Sheriff this week?]

Yeah, I did.

[She catches his meaning, and nods.]

I changed the name. I really hope nothing's going to happen to Damian, but if it does...

[impulsiveness]

[Very, very audible sigh of relief. Thank you, Natalie. He's kind of slumping in his seat a little, before tapping out again:

As in... did Hal keep his end of the bargain up this week? Or did she not get a list?]

[She pauses, and then... actually smiles.]

I got us body rights for every trial until the end of the game.

... Seriously? That's kind of awesome, actually. At least Milla won't have to keep using up her merit now.

[impulsiveness]

No. But we don't have a pile of dead Bandits, do we?

[hydrokinetics]

...well we do, but not for the reason you mean, no.

There are two of them and six of us for now.
We might even have enough merit between all of us that the Sheriff could hand Will over to us if we asked politely. But who knows?
