Let's end this spiral down, pick ourselves off the ground [W5, Sunday]

[It's early evening when the Bounty group gathers again. There's more to discuss now that they've had time to cope and pick themselves up again, ready to get back to work. Time is still marching on and it's nothing that they can waste.

Together again, they settle. The room is quiet for a time as they all gather their thoughts. With everything that came up this weekend? They need a new plan of action.]

[she nods!]

I remember. Comparing the handwriting may be difficult, but it's a more solid lead than mere supposition and guesswork is.

Do you still have those provided samples?

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-02-20 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
No, I don't. I'm sorry.

[He shows this to Milla first, before furrowing his brows and writing something else:]

But the handwriting reminds me of Dr. Lecter's. Fancy. I can't give you a 100% guarantee, though. It's been a good couple of weeks and we only have two letters in Damian's note.

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Then we'll need another sample of Dr. Lecter's handwriting to be sure. I don't suppose he's happened to write any notes to anyone here, has he?
impulsiveness: (009)

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-02-20 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Not as far as I know. But we could always ask someone who's close to him.
That, or break into his room to rummage around for samples.
robitussin: (so fill me up for just another day)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
I talked to him earlier today. He still thinks we're close. I could get a sample if we figured out a plan, probably.

[nods at Natalie]

Perhaps we should try something more discreet at first. If that doesn't work, then we can potentially look through his room.

[annnnd she frowns]

But there may be an obstacle to both of these plans.
robitussin: (when i thought you might be dying)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
I can think of plenty of obstacles to both. You want to specify?
thatsthespirit: (pic#10763667)

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Will.

[that's it. that's all she says. she hopes Natalie sees what she means]
robitussin: (but there'll be no more crying)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
He left the room willingly when I talked to him earlier today because I told him I wanted to speak with him in private. I think... he trusts me enough for that.
impulsiveness: (073)

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-02-20 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. But he's like a bloodhound for guilt. Think his murder sixth sense doesn't extend to breaking and entering? Or whatever the hell we get into now.
thatsthespirit: (pic#10687189)

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's as Jason says. He told me that he can feel everything-- guilt, pain, sadness, and so on and so forth. The Sheriff also mentioned his empathy to me during a conversation we had a few weeks ago.

If he senses you're there to talk to Dr. Lecter with ulterior motives, he may interfere.

robitussin: (bleeding out in the--)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, if he senses that, I'm already fucked, so. He didn't say anything earlier today when I came to ask Hannibal to talk to me privately, though.
thatsthespirit: (pic#10763698)

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
It's likely he knows exactly what everyone in this room is up to, honestly. He probably knows Damian is the Bounty Leader, too. He probably just hasn't seen any reason to interfere.

But. . . if he feels like any of us are closing in on Dr. Lecter, knowing that the Bounty Leader can end the game by killing the Deputy, then I get the feeling he won't just sit back and watch.
robitussin: (for just another day)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
...What would you suggest we do, then?
thatsthespirit: (pic#10763692)

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
[NATALIE WHY DO YOU GO STRAIGHT TO KILLING HIM]

. . . the Sheriff told me that the reason none of us have the same abilities we had back home is because he made them impossible to exist in this town. He took away any advantageous powers, and only left the ones that would be a hindrance or entertaining to him.

Will's empathy is one of the powers the Sheriff deemed as more of a handicap than an advantage. But if we can somehow ask the Sheriff to take that ability away from him, then it'd be far easier to get past Will without arousing suspicion.
robitussin: (for just another day)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
[reasons]

...Do we think the Sheriff would actually do that, though? He didn't do it in the first place for a reason.
thatsthespirit: (pic#10763663)

[personal profile] thatsthespirit 2017-02-20 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
The Sheriff gives out handicaps, not advantages, for rewards. If one of us uses the merit we've earned, and frames Will's ability as an advantage and taking it away as a disadvantage, then perhaps. . .

[she trails off, although that's all she really has to say]

"A reason." Like giving his Deputy a convenient attack dog?
impulsiveness: (012)

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-02-20 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
[...]

If Dr. Lecter is the Deputy, we'll need to deal with Will as soon as possible. Maybe before we close in on Dr. Lecter, or at the same time.
You all saw what happened to Eliot. The same will happen to us if we make the wrong move.
robitussin: (there will be light)

[personal profile] robitussin 2017-02-20 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
...If we all vote for him at the next trial, we could do it.
insincerely: ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ. (aggggh get that mic away from me)

[personal profile] insincerely 2017-02-20 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
We'd have to move quickly after that, then. I can't imagine Dr. Lecter reacting well to losing his boyfriend or whatever.
impulsiveness: (022)

[personal profile] impulsiveness 2017-02-20 05:08 am (UTC)(link)
We could. But is it a good idea?
If we're right about Dr. Lecter being a complete and utter nutbar, he could nail all our asses once Will bites it. We don't know enough of how their relationship works.

[PEOPLE ARE CRAZY???]

Fair enough, but I'm blanking on a good alternative that keeps everyone safe from them.

As far as I remember, yeah. I think so. But don't quote me on this.
