Let's end this spiral down, pick ourselves off the ground [W5, Sunday]
[It's early evening when the Bounty group gathers again. There's more to discuss now that they've had time to cope and pick themselves up again, ready to get back to work. Time is still marching on and it's nothing that they can waste.
Together again, they settle. The room is quiet for a time as they all gather their thoughts. With everything that came up this weekend? They need a new plan of action.]

I remember. Comparing the handwriting may be difficult, but it's a more solid lead than mere supposition and guesswork is.
Do you still have those provided samples?

[He shows this to Milla first, before furrowing his brows and writing something else:]
But the handwriting reminds me of Dr. Lecter's. Fancy. I can't give you a 100% guarantee, though. It's been a good couple of weeks and we only have two letters in Damian's note.

That, or break into his room to rummage around for samples.

Perhaps we should try something more discreet at first. If that doesn't work, then we can potentially look through his room.
[annnnd she frowns]
But there may be an obstacle to both of these plans.

If he senses you're there to talk to Dr. Lecter with ulterior motives, he may interfere.

But. . . if he feels like any of us are closing in on Dr. Lecter, knowing that the Bounty Leader can end the game by killing the Deputy, then I get the feeling he won't just sit back and watch.

. . . the Sheriff told me that the reason none of us have the same abilities we had back home is because he made them impossible to exist in this town. He took away any advantageous powers, and only left the ones that would be a hindrance or entertaining to him.
Will's empathy is one of the powers the Sheriff deemed as more of a handicap than an advantage. But if we can somehow ask the Sheriff to take that ability away from him, then it'd be far easier to get past Will without arousing suspicion.

...Do we think the Sheriff would actually do that, though? He didn't do it in the first place for a reason.

[she trails off, although that's all she really has to say]

If Dr. Lecter is the Deputy, we'll need to deal with Will as soon as possible. Maybe before we close in on Dr. Lecter, or at the same time.
You all saw what happened to Eliot. The same will happen to us if we make the wrong move.

If we're right about Dr. Lecter being a complete and utter nutbar, he could nail all our asses once Will bites it. We don't know enough of how their relationship works.
